Jeep automobiles offer great off-road capability while maintaining their highway driving credentials. Jeep continues to produce excellent vehicles and the public has responded. People who buy a Jeep have a really high retention rate. Their next vehicle is also likely to be a Jeep. That kind of brand loyalty isn’t created for no reason. 

One of the best things about a Jeep is that they haven’t overpriced their vehicles. Jeep offerings represent a great spectrum of value in a vehicle segment that can often find itself with inflated and bloated vehicle pricing. Yet, despite some good prices, Jeep doesn’t skimp on options. Vehicles tend to be full of the latest technology. 

1 - Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep Cherokee has evolved throughout the years. What started as a rugged SUV has slowly become a bit smaller and changed to the crossover plan. The Cherokee offers midsize crossover option that starts just north of $26,000. 270 horsepower is ample enough to make sure power is always available. The counterpoint to that is the 25mpg highway is average at best and some competitors certainly have it beaten in that area. The same can be said for the interior. While it uses excellent materials, the interior isn’t as big as some others. 

2 - Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass is quite simply a fantastic looking crossover. Heading the compact crossover options from Jeep, the Compass has taken styling cues from the Grand Cherokee and modernized them in a smaller package. The compass starts around $23,500 and rises with options and trim levels from there. The good news is that despite it being closer to an entry level vehicle, the Compass is full of safety technology. Automated emergency braking as well as adaptive cruise control are great offerings. The Compass also offers solid fuel economy, being rated around 29 mpg highway. 

3 - Jeep Renegade

The Renegade is the second compact crossover that Jeep has on offer. The Renegade has a unique appearance all its own. While you recognize that it’s a Jeep, you won’t confuse it with the Cherokee or Grand Cherokee anytime soon. The Renegade manages a solid 30 mpg highway, which puts it right in the middle of it’s sub section. The Renegade’s 180 horsepower isn’t particularly impressive, but it is enough for basic commuting and trips of that nature. The price point for a Renegade comes starts over $23,000 and offers quality value even in the base model. 

4 - Jeep Grand Cherokee

The Grand Cherokee provides surprisingly excellent value, even at higher trim levels. While the base model can start around $28,000, the Limited and Trailhawk versions are the most popular. These come in around $40,000 and $45,000 respectively. Despite that increase in price, the feature count increase is more than worth it! The Grand Cherokee is loaded with features that make driving safer. The base model has a solid 295 horsepower, with a variety of Jeep and Dodge produced engines pushing power up several hundred more. Essentially, the Grand Cherokee may be a perfect full size SUV for the value seeker. 

5 - Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler is a distinct piece of automotive history. The frontal design is magnificent and while it evolves slightly, the basic shape and style remains. The Wrangler has 2 and 4 door options. Power is plentiful for a vehicle of this size, with 285 horsepower available. Driving a Wrangler feels a bit like stepping back in time. The seat is far more upright and reminds one of an older truck style. Despite that, there’s nothing old about the interior. It’s otherwise comfortable and modern. The Wrangler doesn’t produce incredible fuel economy. 24 mpg highway is somewhat disappointing. If you’re interested in a Wrangler, prices start under $30,000 and rise from there. However, if you’re looking for a vehicle that will provide you with a feeling unlike any other, the Wrangler can be the perfect choice.
