Smartwatches are a truly great tool. They can take many of the functions of a smartphone and deliver them directly to your watch. This way there’s no need to constantly be breaking out your phone every 30 seconds to check for notifications and messages. Just glance at your phone. There’s a problem though. Many smartwatches are very expensive. There has to be some ways to get a discount. It can be difficult to choose the best value smart watches. How many features can they provide for a reasonable price? Does the smartwatch properly integrate with your other devices? Samsung smart watches aren’t exactly the best choices to combine together with a compulsive Apple user! The best smart watches deals often occur when the next generation is about to replace them. There’s also the usual sale times like Black Friday when gear is on sale. These smart watches are some of the best on the market. If you can find a good deal on one of them, then it’s probably a great idea to pull the trigger on it!

1 - Apple Watch 5

When it comes to the various Apple watches, the 5 is the perfect compliment to anyone who owns an iPhone. It features 32GB of storage and a pretty large display that almost reaches 2 inches in size. It can connect through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE. The display is always on, which makes it convenient to use as you don’t have to wait for the face to light up when you want to use it. The downside is that the battery length isn’t quite as long as some other watches. Typically it can work for around 24 to 36 hours at a time before it needs to be wirelessly charged. The big downside is price. Like many Apple products, it comes with a premium price tag attached.

2 - Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2

The design of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is stunning. It is slim, light and comfortable to wear, which is why it is ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Watch. This version is ideal and features a very cool rotating digital bezel. It can also access LTE. The face is 1.2 inches in size and is circular, rather than the square larger face you get in some other watches. Functionality with people who have an Apple iOS phone is limited, much like the Apple Watch is with Samsung products. Essentially, your phone selection will make one of these two great smartwatches unavailable.

3 - Fitbit Versa 2

The fitbit brand name is one of the most loved brands in the world. People used to wearing a fitbit already will find that the Versa is a great option. The battery is very strong and can last up to a potential 5 days at a time. It’s water resistant with a big display. There’s one issue however. If you’re not already a fitbit user and prefer third party fitness software, this is very much not the watch for you. You can really only use the fitbit software. It has to be connected to a device to play Spotify or other streaming music options. It also lacks some other features like GPS. That being said, it’s a good option and comes in at a reasonable price too.

4 - Fossil Sport

Perhaps Fossil doesn’t have the name brand appeal that many other smartwatches do, but it’s a strong contender on this list. The Fossil Sport comes in at a lower price than many competitors, but still manages to be a very powerful smartwatch. The display is similar to that of the Galaxy Watch with a bright circular design. Battery life is moderate as it can only last a couple of days on continuous use. It’s very lightweight and comfortable for most people and wrist sizes. The only downside is there’s nothing “special” about it. No features or apps that distinctly make it different from the competition. This isn't that bad though. It means it’s a good smartwatch at a reasonable price that does almost everything really well.
