Most scent boosters are added during the washing cycle. They are made up of beads, which will dissolve and provide extra scent to the clothing during the cycle. This scent lasts for a much longer period of time than it does when delivered through laundry detergent or fabric softener. Scents from fabric boosters can often still be noticeable after 10 to 12 weeks later.
